And tonight, Flex lets Breezy’s new League of Starz-produced joint fly as his first offering from the upcoming tape, which will also feature new music by Lil Wayne, The Diplomats, Kendrick Lamar, 2 Chainz, Young Jeezy, Mac Miller, French Montana, Action Bronson, The LOX, Juicy J, Joey Bada$$, and Childish Gambino. Listen below.
One of the most personal and poignant songs on his debut album “Good Kid, M.A.A.D. City,” here Kendrick Lamar decodes “Sing About Me, I’m Dying of Thirst” and tells the story behind the song.
Kendrick Lamar closed out Cali Christmas with a bang. Moments before taking the stage, the West Coast’s golden child spoke with Rap-Up TV about his big year, topping critics’ best-of-the-year lists with his debut good kid, m.A.A.d city, and his favorite album of 2012.
He also explained how his collaboration with Dido came together (“Let Us Move On”) and updated us on his collaborative album with J. Cole.
Rapper/producer Q-Tip revealed during an interview with Giant Step that he’s currently in the studio with a wide range of artists working on new material, including D’Angelo and Kendrick Lamar.
“I’m basically doing a lot of production right now and that’s going really well,” he said. “I’m about to start my new album in the latter part of the summer and it should be out next year, so I’m excited about that. I’ve been excited about music in general, so it’s really good. I’m making music for other people and myself: Kendrick Lamar, DAngelo, [and] Ledisi.”
Tip’s next album will be his first since 2008′s The Renaissance and his first since inking a deal with Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music imprint.
