Over the years Just Blaze has become a household name on the hip hop scene, known for producing beats from some of the biggest artists in the game.

(Exhibit J).’
The offering really shows just how versatile Just Blaze is in his musical talents. Listen to Just Blaze’s latest solo track ‘Behold! (Exhibit J)’ below.
Hip Hop/Neo-soul artist Dwele is currently promoting Greater Than One, his fifth studio album. The Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter, and producer created a blend of his usual style with an 80’s twist.
Q: What inspires you?
A: I’m inspired by everyday life. I‘m inspired by things that I go through; things that I see my friends and family going through. Sometimes I write from the perspective of situations that I want to be in. You know, I think if you use those three elements you can always use them to portray.
Q: What do you enjoy more, writing or performing?
A: That’s kinda hard. I always say that’s like asking do you prefer playing live basketball on the court or do you prefer playing 2k12 on the PlayStation. They are both fun in a different way, so it’s kinda hard to make a decision between the two of them. You can’t put the two against each other.
Q: If you had the choice, would you rather make your music in our time or take it to the past?
A: I would have to choose the past because I feel like my music has an old-school feel to it. Maybe the past was my era.(laughs) Maybe I was supposed to be out in the late 70s early 80s, I don’t know. In a way I love making music now because I can say that I am somewhat original, somewhat different from cats that are out there. So maybe I would say 2013, I like being original.
Q: What do you want the listener to feel when they listen to Dwele?
A: With every album I try to make all-purpose music. I try to make that soundtrack to your life. So ultimately that’s what I want to be. I want this music to be something that if you hear it 15-20 years from now it takes you back to that time. It makes you remember those days, because that’s what music does for me.
The newly married superstar has revealed a short video of him walking through the studio as he discusses his long-awaited comeback. “As close as I get to it, I don’t know that I could physically torture myself that much, year in and year out, and expect it to fulfill me the way that it does and the way that it is right now,” he says.
He is taking his time to make sure he’s happy with the material. “I don’t want to put anything out that I feel like is something I don’t love. You just don’t get that every day. You have to wait for it.”
At the end, he enters the recording booth, puts on his headphones, and steps to the mic. “I’m ready,” he says.

Over Labor Day weekend, Nice Kicks attended the Rock the Bells Festival in New Jersey to check out some of hip-hop’s hottest acts including legendary hip-hop artist Nas, the festival’s headliner. In conjunction with the latest interactive music site, That Knock, Nice Kicks had a unique opportunity to produce a t-shirt for Nas to commemorate the #1 Billboard success of Life is Good, his latest album. Just like sneaker culture, the 90s were a key inspiration for Life is Good, so we asked Nas about some of his style influences from that era.
This past weekend R&B was represented at Jamaica’s “Reggae Sumfest 2012″ as R. Kelly and Trey Songz both performed. While Kellz was one of the headliners and arrived late to the stage, according to reports he quickly won back the audience with his past hits. Trey had the ladies in the audience at his fingertips as usual, and he treated the crowd to a performance of his brand new single “Dive In” as well as “Heart Attack.”

Teen star JoJo is all grown up and dabbling into R&B music.
Last Summer, she remixed Drake’s “Marvin’s Room”, and it created such a buzz that she ended up working with the song’s producer (and Drake’s right-hand man) Noah “40″ Shebib exclusively on a new record.
The song titled “Demonstrate” shows Jojo leaving behind her usual pop sound and embracing the feedback she got from doing more urban R&B records with sometimes explicit lyrics (“Marvin’s Room” and “Houstalantavegas”). On this dark and moody yet extremely sensual track, 40 ditches the melancholy tone he and Drake usually go for and takes the song to a way sexier place.
